Linux Desktop on USB Thumb Drive

May 16, 2008 · Filed Under Software ·

Fedora 9 has made it possible to put a working linux desktop on a thumb drive. No previous install of linux on your hard drive is required. Just 3 steps and boom, you have linux on your thumb drive. How awesome is that? You don’t even lose the data on your thumb drive. All you need is the liveusb-creator from fedora. You don’t even have to download a cd image, the application will do it for you, although if you have a cd image you would like to use you can. If you want to know more about how to do this, head over to LifeHacker and check out their guide on how to do it.
